Students are automatically placed in Preparation for College English if: they come from English High Schools with an average in Secondary V English Language Arts (or its closest equivalent) of less than 65%. If they come from French High Schools,  with an average less than 85% in regular Secondary V English as a second Language; or with an average less than 65% in Enriched English as a Second Language.
